Hospital de Infecciosas F. J. Muñiz, Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Travel Medicine Office of the F. J. Muñiz Infectious Diseases Hospital in the City of Buenos Aires began its activity in the late 1980s within the Regional Pathologies and Tropical Medicine Service (CEMPRA-MT). Affiliated to the ISTM for more than 20 years, it has participated with several of its professionals in the founding of the Latin American Society of Traveler’s Medicine (SLAMVI) in 2004. The service offers assistance in the pre-travel, as well as in the post-travel, and within the Institution there is hospitalization capacity, wide and high-quality diagnosis in the area of infectology, intensive therapy unit and vaccination.
