CIWEC Clinic has been one of the first destination travel medicine clinics in a developing country serving travelers and expatriates since 1982. Its excellent reputation for high quality work backed by its own research has made it increasingly popular among the local Nepalese community since it became a hospital in 1996. It has participated in the GeoSentinel network continuously since 1998.
